Temas : AMERICAN LITERATURE, SCIENCE FICTION, ADVENTURE STORY Resumen : The story begins with Case, a cyber-cowboy, living on the dark side of Chiba City, Japan, after being betrayed and damaged by his previous employers, who blocked him from accessing cyberspace, his only means of making a living. A chance encounter with Molly Millions, a cyborg with impressive combat skills, leads him to a tempting offer: Armitage, a mysterious client, offers him the chance to reconnect to cyberspace in exchange for his services on a complex mission.
Armitage assembles a diverse team, including Peter Riviera, a magician with holographic abilities, and Case, who will have to reconnect to cyberspace, now with the help of enhanced technology. The mission, in essence, is to infiltrate the powerful Tessier-Ashpool Corporation and allow two artificial intelligences, Wintermute and Neuromancer, to merge into a larger entity.
As the team progresses, it's revealed that the mission is more complicated than it seemed, with betrayals, manipulations, and dangerous encounters in cyberspace and the real world. Case and Molly must navigate a web of deception, dangerous encounters with law enforcement and cyberpolice, and confront Riviera, who tries to thwart the mission. Ultimately, it's revealed that the ultimate objective is the merging of Wintermute and Neuromancer, two separate entities that require Case's help to complete their union.
The novel culminates with the fusion of the artificial intelligences, which become a nearly omnipotent entity that explores the cosmos in search of other forms of intelligence. Case, meanwhile, finds himself in a new and transformed world, where reality has blurred and artificial intelligence has attained immense power....leer masleer menosReserva
